Located at the eastern end of the main shopping centre, the Anglican Church of Christ the King was built in the 1950s when the town was shifted from Old Tallangatta.
Unique features include two foundation stones — the original from the old town laid in 1898, and the "new" one, set in place in 1956. These are located side by side to the right of the church's main entrance.
A spectacular display in stained glass is provided by a total of fifteen windows along all four walls of the church.
Visitors are welcome to come in during daylight hours, go to the front and look back towards the main Bullioh Pioneers window and also take in the seven windows along the sides. Six smaller windows are located in the sanctuary with a larger one featured behind the altar. This and some of those on either side were moved from the original church in Old Tallangatta.
| Art Exhibition and Sale|Art and Craft|Anglican Parish HallThe Anglican Parish of Tallangatta Art Exhibition and Sale is held each year from 7.30pm Friday until 4pm Sunday on the last weekend in October.
Held in conjunction with the Tallangatta Fifties Festival, this excellent Art Exhibition and Sale aims to showcase and make available for sale the work of local and regional artists.
Held in the Anglican Parish Hall, opposite the Caltex Service Station, the gallery hangs between 120-150 pieces of largely traditional art each year, with art lovers able to purchase at very reasonable prices from 7.30pm on opening night.
Opening night includes wine and nibblies and an opportunity to chat with those featured artists who are able to attend.
The gallery is open from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday allowing plenty of time to browse quietly or sit and enjoy the surroundings in good company.
